I'm your host, Charlie Nevill. Born in 1979 and a native Texan, I currently live and work in Austin, TX.

I have a BS in Computer Science, and have worked as a programmer since 1999. Our group in GE Aviation makes a variety of applications which are used by major airline companies and the FAA to keep air travel safe and affordable. We all wear a multitude of hats, so on any given day I might get to work on architecture, implementation, debugging, or customer support. Most days (even Mondays) I look forward to getting out of bed and going to work; I think I'm pretty lucky.

In my spare time, I do a lot of reading, both fiction and nonfiction. I also do a bit of hobby programming when interesting projects present themselves. I once skated (on inline skates) from Houston to Austin, a journey of two days and 140 miles (more if you count the parts we had to skip due to bad pavement).

My wife Donelle is a vegetarian and comes from Tennesee. She has a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She teaches at St. Edward's University in Austin, and does contract work for the City of Austin's Watershed Protection group.
